  Using signature materials "Bridge in a Box" participants construct suspension bridges that range from 2 to 16 feet

  Utilizing classification skills, participants sort a sample of rock material and fossils from when the earth was covered by water

  Modeling the work of paleontologists, participants build a site plan and construct dinosaurs discovered within their grid

  Participants craft miniature hovercrafts out of a prop, glue, paper, cardboard, and a motor.

  Participants search for a new species of fish, following the methods of science specimen collection and data recording.

  Cultures studied within our curriculum are expressed through art projects

  Participants search for the world's smallest creatures and learn how extremophiles are being used by scientists
• The A's of Mountaineering
  Through simulation activities, participants learn about ataxia, acclimatization, and avalanches
• Shipwrecked History
  Beneath a canvas of sand, participants draw a site plan and discover artifacts from different ages, cultures, and vessels
• Keeling Over
  Participants design, build, and test the keel of a boat in their personal ocean tub
• Fit to Climb
  This set of challenges helps determine if you could be a member of a world class climbing team
• Oh Manatee!
  Participants simulate the discovery, rescue, treatment, and release of a manatee in Florida waters
• Sinking Slowly
  Participants build zooplankton models and challenge eachother to see which one will travel through water columns the slowest
• Shark Tagging
  Following professional standard procedures, participants capture, weigh, take a "blood sample," tag, and release the shark.
• Spirit of Mountaineering
  Participants first learn and theorize about the George Mallory mystery. Then, they experience mountaineering by dressing in mountain gear.
• Packing like a Yeomann
  Participants pack a ship's crate during a contest to see who can best prepare for a long voyage
• Turtleoscopy
  Participants dissect a jello-filled "turtle's stomach" to discover what may have caused its death
• Grid of Discovery
  Modeling the procedures employed by scientists of many disciplines, participants build a 3D grid to map their discoveries.
• Extreme Weather
  Participants track and experience a hurricane crossing the atlantic or battle intense winds on the world's tallest mountains
• Being Batty
  This simulation mirrors the work of bat researchers around the world
